I confess that I’ve been a Maco-phobe for years, I thought it was funny to mock Mac-users, I used to disparage the Mac an then hurriedly insist that “one of my friends is a Mac user”.

I’ve been quoted as saying “Macs are computers for metrosexuals” or “Macs are for men who moisturise”.

But…. lately I’ve been compelled to furtively walk into Apple stores…. trying to look disinterested… frantically wondering if the sales assistant thinks I’m actually going to buy one…

I’m becoming Mac-curious.

One of my best friends is an avid Mac-user, he’s a proper full-on Mac Evangelist, constantly tempting me.. “You don’t know till you try it…”

But I was in denial. But now, I’m ready to come out.

What has caused this?

I’ve just watched a “guide to the Mac Air” on the Apple website – It’s here.

I’ve still got some real problems with Apple, as it happens. I’m still bemused that something so proprietary can maintain such a gloss of black-tee-shirted coolness… but that doesn’t matter… I want one.
