A bug in OpenOffice : Things that make you go “nnnngg!”

One aspect of moving away from one Office productivity suite to another is figuring out how to transfer all of your styles/settings/preferences etc.

So far, the process has been a fairly predictable mix of frustration (”how the hell do I set up styles in OpenOffice Writer???”) and pleasant surprises (”oooh… actually that’s pretty cool…”).

But now I’ve encountered my first proper bug… and it’s annoying the hell out of me.

MySQL Migration toolkit rocks my world

Rapture! I’ve just used the MySQL Migration Toolkit to move a cranky 30,000 record access DB into MySQL. And it worked a dream.

I can’t get over how good it was.
